GIS Data

 

The Vermont E9-1-1 GIS data is available for download from our FTP site.

 

Clicking the FTP link will automatically authenticate you as the download only user.   This works great in Mozilla and earlier versions of Internet Explorer, but if you use Internet Explorer 7 or above and choose to “open ftp site in windows explorer” you will need to type in the username and password.

Password: gisuser

 

VT E9-1-1 GIS Data

 

The VT E9-1-1 GIS data is available in either file Geodatabase (GDB) or Shapefile (SHP) format.  Access to the file GDB requires ArcGIS 10.0 or greater. E9-1-1 GIS data is updated on a monthly basis. The export date and file type is included in the zipped folder file name as mm_dd_yy. For example ‘VTE911_ SHP_03_10_09’ includes data exported from the VTE9-1-1 database as a shapefile on March 10, 2009.

Emergency Service Zones (ESZ)

2. VTE911_GDB_mm_dd_yy.zip

 

The following features maintained by VT E9-1-1 are included in shapefile format:

Emergency Service Zones (ESZ)

AlpineLifts

Geonames (table)

rel_Geonames_Esites (related table)

3. VTE911_LayerFiles.zip

 

Layer files that we currently use (symbol types) for the following:

 

Esites – Site type symbols for the ‘SITETYPE’ field

Roads - Street class symbols for the ‘AOTCLASS’ field.

 

At the moment no VT E9-1-1 metadata is available.
