The Vermont Enhanced 9-1-1 Board announced today the appointment of Barbara M. Neal as Executive Director, effective immediately. Ms. Neal has been serving as the Board’s Interim Executive Director since April 2015.
Board Chairman Roger Marcoux stated, “Barb has demonstrated her commitment to the 9-1-1 program for many years and we are pleased she will continue in her leadership role with the Board. We are confident that she, along with the dedicated team of professionals on the Board staff, will continue to focus on effectively fulfilling the Board’s mission of providing Vermont with a reliable 9-1-1 system”.
Ms. Neal brings over twenty years of emergency communications experience to the position. She served as a dispatcher and supervisor for the Vermont State Police in Middlesex and Williston for eight years before joining the Enhanced 9-1-1 Board staff as an Emergency Communications Training Coordinator in 2003. Originally from Northfield, Ms. Neal currently resides in Stowe, Vermont.
